Amer Tiwana is a Managing Director and Head of Credit Research at StoneCastle Securities, where he leads the firm's credit analysis and market commentary efforts across private credit, stressed, distressed, and special situations investments. Working closely with institutional investors and trading counterparties, Mr. Tiwana provides fundamental credit analysis, issuer surveillance, and market insights designed to help clients evaluate opportunities and manage risk across complex and less-liquid credit markets.

Prior to joining StoneCastle, Mr. Tiwana was a Managing Director at Imperial Capital, where he served in a variety of senior leadership roles, including Head of Research and Head of Distressed and Special Situations. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director at Cowen/CRT Capital, focusing on stressed and distressed credit opportunities, event-driven and special situations investments, and post-reorganization equities. He began his career as an Equity Analyst at Morgens, Waterfall, Vintiadis & Co. in New York.

Mr. Tiwana earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College.
