Robert Holmen is President of StoneCastle Securities, LLC, where he oversees all aspects of the firm’s business and helps guide the firm’s strategic direction. As a partner of the firm, he brings more than three decades of experience in financial services, capital markets, compliance, and operational leadership to StoneCastle’s clients. Mr. Holmen also serves as the firm’s Financial and Operations Principal (FINOP) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), providing the regulatory and operational expertise that supports the firm’s institutional client relationships and investment platforms.

Prior to joining StoneCastle in 2010, Mr. Holmen spent over fourteen years at Guggenheim Securities, where he held senior leadership roles including CFO, Compliance Officer, FINOP, and Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Fixed Income. He was also a founding member of Guggenheim Partners.

Earlier in his career, he worked in mortgage finance and financial services marketing, including helping build a U.K. mortgage originator and working with major financial services brands such as GMAC, MasterCard, and Great Western Bank.

Mr. Holmen holds a B.A. in English from Kenyon College.
